Not sure why people are having such a hard time with George Condo's cover art for Kanye's new album. George Condo is a major contemporary artist, with work in the collection of the MoMA. Translation, you have made it. George Condo is the real deal, and this cover for Kanye’s “Power” single is the real deal.
Kanye's choice of fine art with his music projects has been spot-on: Murakami, Kaws, Vanessa Beecroft, and now Condo. I think people only care and try to make something out of it because its a main stream star. Kanye has done his fair share of bad things but come on, attacking the artwork. People must really have nothing better to do and even if you don’t like his music or him, this fine art approach is dead on.
