The Cool Kids – Clicking (Gymkhana Three)

Here goes a new audio by Windy City duo The Cool Kids titled “Clicking (Gymkhana Three)” which has been recorded for an infomercial by DC Shoes. Check out the clip above and the stream of the tune below.

Deadmau5 & Wolfgang Gartner – Untitled (Preview)

Deadmau5 teams up with Texas-based Electronica aficionado Wolfgang Gartner for a still untitled collaboration. The extended preview of this tune sounds promising. For further insurance that this is some serious heat one might recollect that Gartner has a decent history of joint efforts – most notably with British house-music producer Mark Knight for the track “Conscindo,” which held the number 1 spot on Beatport’s dance-music charts for two weeks in July.

Freddie Gibbs featuring YP – Something New (Produced by Million $ Mano)

As part of the Closed Session series with LRG, the menswear conglomerate enlisted the young Atlanta spitter to record over this “Dr. Dre Explosive-esque” beat produced by Million $ Mano. A very laid back record, nostalgic of 90′s west coast hip hop. You can check it out below.

Nike Air Mag “Marty McFly” to Release?

The shoe that many have been waiting for Nike to release just might be in the works as we speak. Marty McFly made the Air Mag famous in Back to the Future II. Since then people have always wondered if Nike would ever release the futuristic Air Mag sneaker with the automatic lacing system. Well, according to the World Intellectual Property Organization’s website, Tinker Hatfield and the Nike crew filed a patent for the automatic lacing system. Is it possible that Nike will release the Air Mag in 2015? If they are staying true to the theme of the movie, the Air Mag should see a release in 2015. If Nike decides to release the Air Mag there’s no telling how much the shoes will retail for. However, a shoe with an automatic lacing system will definitely change the game in the footwear industry. Will you cop a pair of the Air Mags if they drop? 2015 release? Only time will tell!

Royksopp – This Space Royksopp – This Space

As the end of the hot summer days come to an end, Norwegian electronic music duo look to close out this summer with an official ‘farewell to summer’ tune. It’s entitled, “This Space” and is one of their most stellar efforts to date. Here’s what they had to say on it:

"We have swum out of the mire to present you with a ‘farewell to summer’ tune. It is a melancholic mash-up of sorts, using elements from a few sources, with the track ‘This Space’, by the excellent Woolfy vs. Projections as the starting point. As usual, we have gone on a complete journey with this, and think we have come up with a perfect late summer cinematic – we hope you agree!"

Ro Spit – Too Easy (Video)

Nico – These Days (Shinichi Osawa edit)/Shinichi Osawa – Summer Mix 2010

Just last week, Shinichi Osawa put together a fantastic summer mixtape for one of the best music sites out there, Too Many Sebastians, and one of the greatest parts about the mix is that it covers so many different styles of music. The first track on the mix is Osawa’s take on one of our favoritest tracks of all time, the achingly beautiful “These Days” by Velvet Underground partner in crime Nico. Her unmistakable voice (memorably and admirably covered by St. Vincent on her last tour) makes this track what it is, but a few Osawa beats don’t hurt a thing. Make sure to head over to TMS and check out the whole mixtape here, because this track is even better in the context of the mix as a whole.

PSSSSTT... Wanna good time - Polaroids by Rick Shameless

AandI Gallery is pleased to announce: “PSSSSTT... Wanna good time?” Polaroids by Rick Shameless. The collection of Polaroid portraits of women in the adult industry is the culmination of a 2 1⁄2 year project. In his work, Shameless makes a startling correlation between disposable art and women who are perceived as disposable within the adult industry. The Polaroid’s capture their subjects in their own intimate environments without exploiting but rather celebrating the normality of what society often considers a very un-normal lifestyle. http://RickShameless.com/ (check out his intro on his website..fucking amazing he is not any normal guy.)

Exhibition continues through September 25th.

Flying Lotus – Galaxy In Janaki

Flying Lotus threw a party a few days ago at Los Angeles club Echoplex to celebrate the release of his near-perfect Cosmogramma album. But rather than stick to his usual performing style of bouncing from sampler to laptop to sampler to…you get the point…he came equipped with a live band called Infinity.  I really hope this is where FlyLo ventures next musically because I could use some more crazy jazz with electronic influences. Seriously, Flying Lotus, I need an album’s worth of this stuff.

Clae 2010 Fall/Winter Strayhorn

2010′s fall/winter season marks the debut of an all new style from Clae. The Strayhorn takes some elements of the popular Ellington model and re-packages them in a higher-cut version. The chukka stylings are classic but the inclusion of Clae’s low-profile outsole make for a slightly more unique offering. Check your local Clae dealer for availability.

MRTN STHLM BEAT + POMP.

One of Sweden’s biggest dj’s Mrtn Sthlm Beat is terrorising this countrys clubs from left to right. Having made a name of himself as a successful dj it’s now time for him to take it even further; as a producer. Debut track is a collab between Mrtn and Pomp, the later beeing Robyn’s live drummer, when not producing music on his own.

Blaster Mixes

I think it's safe to say, Blaster delivers one of the most intense doses of heavy you can legally acquire... at this point in time. With remixes from Ephect, Snob Electro and We Are From 1965, 'Distorted' is serious F$!king business.

Whether you're a music lover who enjoys getting his or her face melted or you're a DJ who loves pumping the most intense tunes of the now, Blaster is for you. You'd be stonking mental to not pick up a copy of his new EP.

Joaquin Phoenix ‘I’m Still Here’ Trailer

The highly anticipated teaser trailer for the Casey Affleck directed documentary following Joaquin Phoenix’s tumultuous last few years, ‘I’m Still Here’ has just arrived.  The film will have a limited release starting September 10th.

"The directorial debut of Oscar-nominated actor Casey Affleck, I’M STILL HERE is a striking portrayal of a tumultuous year in the life of internationally acclaimed actor Joaquin Phoenix. With remarkable access, I’M STILL HERE follows the Oscar-nominee as he announces his retirement from a successful film career in the fall of 2008 and sets off to reinvent himself as a hip hop musician. Sometimes funny, sometimes shocking, and always riveting, the film is a portrait of an artist at a crossroads. Defying expectations, it deftly explores notions of courage and creative reinvention, as well as the ramifications of a life spent in the public eye."

This One's For Cody - REMIXS (Southbay kids)

"When you mix gritty electro bangers with thug lovin' party raps, the funkified beats of This One's For Cody. Born and raised in Newport Beach, CA, Eric “Stoop Kid” Dobson and Tyler “Red Five” van Hensbergen know what it takes to flood the dance floor. Dressed in their signature hockey jerseys, TOFC are never ones to stray away from their roots. Known to throw down heavy electro tracks with familiar pop vocals to create a sound they describe as "Party Electro." TOFC is set on conquering it all. And indeed these boys have already made names for themselves, opening for the likes of Super Mash Bros, placing first in votes in a T-Pain Remix contest, becoming residents for popular electro event Get Bent! and DJ'ing for its sister project Risque Nights. As Eric claims, “this is only the beginning” for the duo, so keep your ears open for their future endeavors."
